Tue 1/13: Essentials of Halal Money Management
Financial peace is more than just a spreadsheet
My mission in starting muslim.finance and 101.finance has always been to help teach people about personal finance. The guide has served well in that regard in giving people the basics and pointers to the various aspects of personal finance. But as I talked to many of you, many expressed that they still didn’t feel like they had things under control. I’ve realized that pointing to a few areas with links to investment options or providers isn’t enough. More importantly, for many the goal isn’t even clear — is it really just more money?
My version of personal finance is financial peace.
What does financial peace actually look like?
Most people think it’s about penny-pinching or obsessing over spreadsheets. But in reality, true peace comes from systems - having a plan that creates clarity and balance without the daily stress.
In our next session of the Halal Personal Finance Series, I’ll walk through a practical, faith-aligned approach to managing your money. We’re going to cover:
Budgeting without tracking every dollar
Savings for short-term goals
Investing with a long-term mindset
Giving as a core part of financial health
Simple systems that run in the background
